Thank you for visiting HP Laptop Deals! With the proliferation of laptops and the power increasing nearly daily there has never been a better time to get a laptop than now! Hewlett-Packard is one of the better known and better trusted brands of laptops on the market today. Here are some reviews of some HP laptop deals available to help you make up your mind should you choose to go with this top brand. HP Pavilion DV6-1354US 15.6-Inch Black Laptop - Up to 4 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Home Premium): This bad boy (or girl, whatever) runs a 2.2 GHz Intel Core2 Duo processor, for excellent speed. It’s standard equipped with 4 GB DDR3 RAM and can be expanded out to 8. Overall ratings by the people who have bought one have been favourable. It’s a stable and reliable laptop and easily upgradable. HP G60-530US 15.6-Inch Black/Silver Laptop - Up to 3.75 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Home Premium): This model comes standard with the 2.2GHz Intel Core2 Duo T6600 Processor (2MB LS Cache, 800 MHz FSB). It also carries 4GB DDR3 RAM (2 Dimm),expandable out to 9 GB. Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (shared) with up to 1.6 GB total available graphics memory. Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life. What does all this mean? Pretty decent bang for the buck. A majority of the complaints we’ve heard have been about the mousepad on this model. A mini-mouse fixes that sure enough. For the price, this is not a bad laptop. HP Pavilion DV4-1541US 14.1-Inch Espresso Laptop - Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Home Premium): Again with the 2.2GHz Intel Core2 Duo T6600 Processor (2MB LS Cache, 800 MHz FSB). The RAM is also the same as the previous two models- 4GB DDR3 RAM (2 Dimm), Max supported 8GB. Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (shared) with up to 1.6 GB total available graphics memory makes for a solid enough graphics platform. 320GB (7200RPM) SATA Hard Drive, LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with offered Double Layer Support. The rub is the 14.1" Diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800), which is a full inch and a half smaller than the average screen these days. Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life. Again the complaint seems to be the touchpad. HP G60-440US 16-Inch Laptop: It could be said that this isn’t your grandpa’s laptop; but it might be your grandma’s. With its Intel Pentium Processor T4300 and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M this is hardly a speedster. It comes up a little shy on the RAM to with only 3 GB DDR2 RAM (2 Dimm) and is only upgradable to 4 GB. Not nice. The hard drive has plenty of space for your gran’s recipes with a 320GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA), and is standard with a SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with LightScribe and Double Layer Support. Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit edition with Service Pack 1 and a 16 inch Diagonal High Definition 16:9 HP BrightView Display (1366x768) round this one off. Still it is a stable machine overall. Two years ago this one would be burning your face off, now it’s a quiet little kitchen laptop. For the price it’s not a bad machine though. Compaq Presario CQ61-310US 15.6-Inch Black Laptop - Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Home Premium): Slightly faster than the previous review with its 2.0GHz AMD Sempron M100 Processor for Notebook PCs (512 KB L2 Cache) and 2 GB DDR2 RAM (2 Dimm) this model is still only upgradable to 4 GM of RAM. The hard drive is way light too at 160GB (5400RPM though it does come with a LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support. The 15.6" Diagonal High Definition HP BrightView Display (1366x768) is prone to cracking with some misuse, but what screens aren’t? ATI Radeon HD 4200 Graphics with 128MB Display Cache Memory AMD M880G with 128B GDDR2 (sideport memory) is a nice touch though. Come standard with Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The battery will hold up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life. Again, not a bad machine for the money. It’s stable enough and fairly sturdy, you could do worse for the cheddar you’d be shelling out. |
